This project showcases a complete kitchen cabinet painting transformation, updating existing dark wood cabinetry to create a lighter, more contemporary space. Initially, the room was carefully prepped with protective flooring covers and masking tape to safeguard the surrounding areas and appliances. Following the preparation, the surfaces were thoroughly processed to ensure proper paint adhesion. Furthermore, the dark, traditional wood finish was transitioned into a bright two-tone color palette, featuring crisp white upper cabinets and a soft grey island base. Ultimately, this meticulous kitchen cabinet painting process significantly modernized the room’s aesthetic while sustainably utilizing the existing cabinet framework.
